A mortgage and finance firm is the latest company looking at an office move to the Cypress Waters development northwest of Dallas.

About 3 million square feet of office space has been built in the 1,000-acre Cypress Waters, and more space is on the way in the project at LBJ Freeway and Belt Line Road.

Selene Finance, a residential mortgage company based in Houston, is looking to take almost 42,000 square feet of offices in Cypress Waters, according to planning documents filed with the state.

Cypress Waters is already home to a large contingent of mortgage companies, including Caliber Home Loans and Nationstar Mortgage, now known as Mr. Cooper.

Selene is planning to lease space at 3501 Olympus Blvd., in a two-building office project Cypress Waters developer Billingsley Co. built with almost 400,000 square feet. Irving-based IdGroup is designing the office, which is set to open later this year.

More than 11,000 people work at Cypress Waters for companies including 7-Eleven, CoreLogic, Nokia, Brinker International, Toyota Industries Commercial Finance, BT America and Constellation Brands.

Developer Billingsley Co. recently broke ground on a 10-story office tower in Cypress Waters, which will be the tallest office yet in the project.

Along with the office space, Cypress Waters has apartments, retail and restaurants.
